Safety Information

1. NEVER smoke near the meter, or use the meter near open flames when metering a flammable liquid! Fire can result!

2. Threaded pipe joints and connections should be sealed with the appropriate sealant or sealant tape to minimize the possibility of leaks.

3. Storage tanks should be securely anchored to prevent shifting or tipping when full or empty.

4. To minimize static electricity, use only static wire conductive hose when metering flammable fluids, and keep the fill nozzle in contact with the container being filled during the filling process.

5. DO NOT exceed 50 psi / 3.5 BAR line pressure.

6. DO NOT install additional foot valve or check valve without a pressure relief valve; cracking may result.

Installation

The meters are furnished for horizontal piping; left-to-right flow. Flow ports can be changed to any of four positions for horizontal or vertical piping and for either direction of flow. By unscrewing the 4 bolts on the back of the meter, be careful—the meter chamber assembly will be exposed and may fall out.

- Determine direction for fluid to flow.

- Install meter observing directional arrow on casting.

Maintenance

Your Walston Industrial GH5670 Meter should operate virtually maintenance free. Though certain liquids can dry out while in the meter housing, causing the meter to stop or perform poorly. If this happens, the meter should be cleaned thoroughly.

Fluid Compatibility

The GH5670 Meter can be used with the following fuels: Diesel, Gasoline, Kerosene, Mineral Spirits, Heptane, and Hexane.

4. Repeat test and adjust as needed.

5. Re-cap calibration screw and record calibration date.
